Founded in 1982 by Charles Best, our bookstore has been a trusted source for book lovers and collectors for over four decades. After an interesting run selling art in New York City, Charlie decided to bring his passion for culture and history to the world of books, curating an eclectic and ever-growing collection.
Located in the historic Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, California, Best Booksellers offers more than 8,500 carefully selected titles, with new additions arriving every week. Our catalog spans a diverse range of subjects, from Egyptology to Panama, Maritime History to California History, as well as Shakespeare, the classics, and beautifully bound editions from Easton Press. We also carry rare catalogs, academic proceedings, and unique ephemera.
